APIs, Custom Integrations and SSO for Channel Partner Training

NetExam support for APIs, Custom Integrations and SSO
NetExam has pre-built integrations with other applications that are typically interacted with in external training workflows. Additionally, NetExam supports a comprehensive suite of APIs and custom integration options .
NetExam APIs
NetExam APIs include the Learner API, the Integration API, the NetExam-Salesforce.com API, the Data Discovery API and custom APIs.
Learner API
The NetExam Learner API exposes all the functionality available in the Learner Portal via API methods. NetExam’s Learner Portal UI is built using this same API. This enables you to embed any functionality available in the NetExam Learner Portal in your own application or website
Integration API
NetExam’s Integration API provides access to a library of API methods that addresses common integration tasks such as managing users, groups, hierarchy, training eligibility/assignment rules, enrolling users in training and retrieving training history.
NetExam-Salesforce.com API
NetExam has a built-in bi-directional integration with Salesforce.com that is available in the Salesforce.com’s AppExchange marketplace. This integration is built using NetExam’s Salesforce.com API. Customers who prefer direct access to the underlying API call can use this API suite.
Data Discovery API
NetExam’s Data Discovery API is available for enterprise customers who need to query their NetExam data for compliance and regulatory requirements.
Customer API
NetExam can also build custom APIs for customers who have specific needs. An example is an API to connect to a proprietary application the customer requires to be integrated with NetExam.
Integrations
In addition to making APIs available for customers, NetExam also features many triggers and integration processes that can be configured to call external APIs. NetExam Integration Processes can be configured to pull data from external APIs or push data to them. An example would be calling an external API when a learner has completed the requirements for a certification
Single Sign On
NetExam supports SSO using standards such as SAML 2.0, oAuth, JSON web tokens (JWT), OpenID etc. Supported SSO providers include OKTA, OneLogin, Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Auth0, PingIdentity, Centrify, CyberArk Identity, SSOeasy, MiniOrange, SAASPASS, LastPass, AuthDigital. NetExam supports the concept of an auto-provisioning SSO where a user account is created if one does not exist.
